Yes these are the 2 that should be looked at, it looks like the hidden eye switched.

Unless a "SPECIAL" offspring from the Easter kitties can create a new hidden eye. Then it would be like this:
Jaffa hides Azure
Donaghy hides Fire
Rae hides Ice Crystal
Hilda hides Crystal Sea
Candyce hides Crystal Dream
That's what these are telling me. Have you looked to see what the consistent eye from Donaghy is?

Consistent is how we determine fact, at least to me. If I have an Azure eye that I pair with an Ice Crystal eye and it was 'consistent' that I got Fire or Azure then I would assume that my Azure hid Fire. No matter what my Ice Crystal hid. It's more recessive than both of the partner. Now if it was consistent on a pairing of an Azure with say Grape Ice I got Fire, then it's questionable who hides the Fire.
In your case they haven't been throwing their hidden, just the genesis a lot. But if you had gone back and seen that hey all the offspring was paired with more recessive eyes like the Ody Rainbow and some show Azure and some show Fire. Then you would know that kitty was a glitch and actually changed it's hidden.
From your case, it's possible (doubtful, but possible still) that it did change or the special offspring got a new gene. So I'm sure KittyCatS will look behind the scenes and see which happened, then try to find out 'how' it happened.
If could even be something totally out there that went haywire, like the kitty god decided to be quirky just to throw a wrench into the system, sit back and get a good laugh over it.

Having pondered it while out with Charm, and several offspring, I also concluded that either the special offspring received an eye trait like the Lucky Irish Clover did a couple of years ago, or there's something wrong with database or software. Given the probabilities, I'm learning toward the former .. if it were a glitch, I'd expect we'd have seen more of it.
If we ignore the special offspring (Candyce) we see:
From (1) Donaghy is Genesis Water hiding Fire.
From (2) Rae is Genesis Meadow hiding Ice Crystal.
From (4) Hilda is Genesis Earth hiding Crystal Sea
The problem arises on (5).
Hilda x Donaghy produced Candyce who should be Genesis Earth (from Hilda) hiding either Genesis Water or Fire (from Donaghy)
If we use the random-replacement eye trait used for Lucky Irish Clover, and presume Crystal Dream replaced Genesis Water or Fire (from Donaghy) then Candyce is, instead, Genesis Earth hiding Crystal Dream.
Given that, then April's Candyce Jr. is Crystal Dream hiding Wild Odyssey OR BETTER and all is right with the world.
So, I'm willing to assume that the special offspring had an unannounced capability of providing a random eye trait replacement in a manner similar to what we saw a couple years ago with Lucky Irish Clover eyes. I'm glad Equinox is looking into it.

So then the fire wasn't a glitch so it must be something amiss with Candyce most likely. Could there have been some sort of technological issue in which Hilda's hidden Crystal Sea some how translated to Crystal Dream when boxed up Candyce was born? I have no idea how the databases/server/scripts work when a new box is made so not sure if this would be possible or not.

I'd say this shows pretty definitively that the starter Donaghy hid(es) fire and passed it to his OS, and that box is pure Fire, as Tad said. This would mean that the special baby got the Crystal Dream from ... either a glitch or a programmed substitution that was planned but not announced. This begs the question -- those that are breeding with the special OS -- is *everyone* getting one of the new Crystal eyes hiding??
