Like having a high end car in RL, say a Ferrari, the desirablity of owning one, the rarity, and the performance drives the price up for that car. I'm not against high end cats as you describe them, but there are a lot of kitties advertised and priced as high end cats which are far from meeting that criteria. A high end cat to me shows the work the breeder has put into making it -so I'm wary of the cats showing new traits soon after they've been discovered, and priced and presented (it's not just the price, it's the image projected) as high end cats. @Wyndy : I love Sables too!!!!!! As almost everyone who knows me knows and can tell you I am a sucker for soft fold ears so I put them on nearly everything I breed, luckily there are others who share a love of the cats I've bred so I am able to get a fair price. Amen to this! And oh Sanura we need to talk ![]() I desperately need a pure foldy breeding couple with a not too recessive fur so I can breed them on high as well as low furs. Because my passion always was rounded and you see the trap right? Behind my foldies are 9 out of 10 times rounded ears LOL Recently I found out the curious whisker for example, I didn't like at first, do work great with foldies for me! Well that is your personal preference, but, take a 9T cat with BooBoo whiskers and a completely similar one but with plush whisker instead. To me the booboo cat is way more high-end then the exact similar cat with plush whisker, due to rarity. That's why personal preference does not matter much when it comes to how I define a high-end cat. I think that our vision on high end is different or high end is not really my goal because my personal preference is indeed more important for me otherwise I don't like my kitties. And lucky enough as Sanura mentioned as well I receive a fair price for my kitties as it seems others like what I make as well and that's nice ![]() I love the Boo Boo whisker as well btw but have you noticed they only show a whiskers in the front and not at the back of the kitty? This concerns all the whiskers recessive to curious. They are to fix this but until that is fixed I don't touch the recessive LOL My boxed Boo Boo whiskers are in a safety zone with a red prim on top of it which means do not open me until this is fixed ![]() Same goes for my boxed wavy's I have them but I don't use them. RE: Getting "pissy" about the left out older breeds of kitties - Skippy Seminario - 10-17-2012 07:04 PM I am thankful that we all have different ideas and tastes...would be rather boring if we all thought the same way on what was perfect... RE: Getting "pissy" about the left out older breeds of kitties - Sanura Snowpaw - 10-17-2012 10:09 PM Kay lets talk and I can look and see what I might have but sometimes I have rounded hiding also it shows later and only sometimes when I didn't even know it was there. I have to admit I hadn't noticed the Boo Boo or Wavy whiskers not having a back side to them. LOL I guess I spend to much time staring at their little faces to see the back HAHAHA RE: Getting "pissy" about the left out older breeds of kitties - Kayleigh McMillan - 10-18-2012 03:36 AM (10-17-2012 10:09 PM)Sanura Snowpaw Wrote: Kay lets talk and I can look and see what I might have but sometimes I have rounded hiding also Cool thanks Sanura ![]() And I know I'm an insane mouselook user because I'm used to make jewelry so to me this problem is huge with the whiskers ![]() Especially now after they realeased the roll over animation it has become even more obvious to me when we look at their faces LOL |
