I notice that the names the newborns are given at random when you pop a box do *not* update the primary name property of the kittycat in question. The db updates and the hud sees the new name, however the cat still talks as KittyCatS - Kitten and if you take it into inventory, that's what you'll see as well.
This could cause a LOT of confusion, as well as the inability to use area search to look for the correct cat.

So that's what happened! I bought a kitty today and he has a name, but searchbert and local chat kept seeing him as "Kitten". I thought it was odd.
